Midtermzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....
A bit of a lengthy post here, with a little bit of politics in, so i'm putting this in a cut. ^^
Well, this week, i'm having nightly dress rehearsals for the play i'm in, and in between all of that, with this week of midterms, i've been using the last two days to turn in job applications to a bunch of potential places, even a Popeyes and a Pizza Place that'll open pretty soon. ^_^
I hope I get hired to that pizza place though.....nothing spells a good job than free pizza. :3
But despite all of this, i'm having a good feeling that things will get much better....but just to get this out of my chest, just make sure that we all vote when election day comes. You can complain about Bush, McCain, Obama, Palin, Biden, or whoever you like or don't, even when it comes to the propositions as well. (For those of you talking about Prop. 8, i'm voting no on it. ^^)
However, if you don't vote, then you're not taking any action. And action speaks louder than words....and hopefully whoever will be the next president, i'll welcome them with open arms, and hopefully if theres some disagreements, i'll be free to talk and negotiate with them as well, no picket sign needed. The day of the picket sign is long over. For those who want true democracy, even though we have the rights to do such things, we need to sort out what works and what doesn't and do some real communication, even if we have to do it in a letter or e-mail or even just a phonecall, but I prefer the straight-forward confrontational approach. ^^ Besides, when was the last time the picket sign actually worked?
But besides all that, i'm pretty much not a political person....at all....I can listen to the opinions of anything that has to do with politics, but too much of it can be corrupting, so I tend to keep politics in moderation.
Which is why I consider myself a moderate when it comes to political views. Some people say that while I lean trowards being liberal, I still know when I need to hold back, even if someone has to give me a pat on the back or head in order to do so. ^^ I am also moderately religious, because I feel that the bibles words can be extremely healing, especially if it comes from the right people. ^^ And being catholic, I was also baptized when I was younger, although I don't go to church that much these days since lifes been hectic. But I pray every now and then when I need some spiritual healing. ^^
But politics and religion aside, I still feel that while it may be good to have a new president, no matter who is elected, we all need to pitch in to help out here. While I don't see either Obama or McCain becoming a bad president, it is WE the people who will get ourselves back on our feet, and we'll help our new president help us out with it. ^^ (and no, i'm not blaming Bush, because i'd like to be fair to him and keep him out of this. And besides, what good will blaming him do? Its also obvious that Obama will be the next president, so no worries. ^^)
Along with that, i'd just like to say that as long as we're all set to vote on election day, and we do it with love, hope and justice in our hearts and souls, prepare to set it ablaze, work as hard as we can and make sure that our friends and family are all safe, then we will get through with the tough times! :D
As for me.....well i've been through tough times ever since I got fired last year, but that hasn't stopped me one bit.....its lonely, but with everyones help and support, things have been a lot more better for me, and its continuing to do so, and I thank you all. ^_^
Anyways, time for me to get through the day....who knows, maybe i'll get myself a new job AND a computer pretty soon. ^_^ Maybe a girlfriend? Well....we'll see.....but when it comes to marriage i'm hoping to marry myself a lovely lady who I will dedicate my whole life for. But hey, i'm still looking, and its still early for me to think about marriage and i'm never giving up! :D
Besides....I needs me a job first....:3
