Past tense German is a nightmarish mess. I rue the day I decided to study this language. For the past nine weeks we have been slogging through past-participles used in all sorts of ungodly ways, strong verbs strongarming us under the table and subordinating conjuctions duct-taping verbs together in places we were taught they should never go ( Read more... ) -

It was very late this chill autumn night, and the corridors were dark. The sound of rain falling on the slate roof echoed through the cold stone halls, masking the soft footfalls of a figure that was making her way through. Her path was lit by a dim lamp in her left hand, her right being tied up in bandages.

So I haven't been to church in my university ward in three weeks, and might end up going home next week, then after that is Spring Break which means a total of six weeks of not showing up. Last night I stayed up very, very late finishing some homework for German that was apparently not due. Instead, we had a test! Oh my goodness! I definately did not meet expectations.
