Why?

Why do our brains hold on to memories that just don't need to be there anymore. Why can't we remember forever the things we want to? Today I remembered the combination to my lock I used in highschool. But I can't remember my father's birthday. I can picture my grandmother's frown, but can't remember her smile. You never lost them, babe. Your body is just revealing them to you when your ready....
That's something I've learned, and I learned that I was not allowing myself to remember the hardest parts...they were the hardest parts, because they were so happy...and remembering such a happy state is so painful to let go. ;) At least that's my deal and opinion, and you know how over opinionated I am ;)
