Why do our brains hold on to memories that just don't need to be there anymore. Why can't we remember forever the things we want to? Today I remembered the combination to my lock I used in highschool. But I can't remember my father's birthday. I can picture my grandmother's frown, but can't remember her smile. That's something I've learned, and I learned that I was not allowing myself to remember the hardest parts...they were the hardest parts, because they were so happy...and remembering such a happy state is so painful to let go. ;) At least that's my deal and opinion, and you know how over opinionated I am ;)
