First day back at work. I've spent most of today in my own little bubble, desperately trying to hold on to the Whitby feeling. Huddled at my desk, my Whitby playlist on repeat, it's just about possible. I love the way that Whitby is a little bubble outside of life where normal rules don't quite apply. Unfortunately, I have the "returned with a bump" feeling.

One of the few advantages of not going to Whitby is that you don't have that post-Whitby thud back to earth...which takes at least a few days to get out of the system.

Hope it's not too slow and painful for you Moomin. I remember the feeling well, although sometimes it used to hit me when I got just as far as Middlesborough, when you realise the world that you have immersed yourself in just isn't quite real. Well, not all the time ;-)

Yes it is sad, routine normality generally is. But it could be worse! Your first two weeks back consist of only four working days each, instead of five! + It can’t have been that bad coming back, you have already seen great theatre and had the company of fabulous friends. AND, And… It is mini-weekend today- halfway there now!!! ;) But wait! mmmmmmm what’s that tune I hear ringing in my head? Could it be, YES! Yes I think it is… It’s the wedding song! Tee hee hee :p
