if he's over thirty, he's too old.

i think a better question is, not the age but if that person makes you happy? then date them. not that i'm saying this is a good example, but look at donald trump. he's dating some girl who could potentially be his granddaughter. now of course there is no love in that gold digger relationship, but the fact that it's going on is putting it in perspective. people can date whoever they want. do what makes you happy girl.

If you have to ask yourself the question of whether or not s/he is too old, it's quite possible that s/he is.

So, proceed with caution.

Very true.

I, personally, am...eh. So, I was just curious what other people would say.

It doens't really make that much difference to me...I don't think.

I think it depends on the person, mostly.

I think you're going to justify it if you want to do it, regardless of what we say, so I will end my two cents here.

I perfer someone who is less than 10 yrs older than me. But then if they're older than my brother, I begin to get a little creeped out, because it'd be like if I were dating my brother. (my bro is 8 yr older than me).

However, due to my profession, I'll most likely end up marrying someone much older than me.

But age doesn't mean everything, my parents best friends behind us are married; he's 70 and she's 57, and they're such a cute couple.

Lol. I just noticed that there were 17 comments and I'm like, WHOA! My journal never sees this much action.

As for Jason, I'm not trying to justify it any way. I'm just...eh, I'm undecided on the proper age difference.

I mean, 18 and 25 don't sound that far apart, but when you consider that he was in third grade when I was born..that ...kinda sucks.

However...

I think it completely depends on the person. There are some really mature 18 year olds and some freakin' immature 25 year olds.

But, regardless, I think there is too much of an age difference, and that we would be unable to like...coincide very well.

But..I was just curious about what you guys thought.

I dunno. I don't necessarily think that the fact that he is 25 and you are eighteen means that he's immature or anything. maybe i just have a more relaxed viewpoint, but i don't really think 25 is really all that old at all. i guess coming from someone like me who has biological sisters who are a lot older than that, so it takes a lot for me to view someone as "old". any more than 25 is sort of pushing it, and i can see why it might be awkward to be like, "mom, meet my new boyfriend! he's 25." but if you can tell he's a good person and has good intentions, i feel that age is just that... a number, a characteristic that has little to do with the whole package.
just my thoughts. -lindsey
