Very well written. I'm sure Benham will like it. You make a lot of fair points.
But, for the sake of debate (of the friendliest nature)...
Abortion could save your life.
Yes, this may be true. But, do you think it is right that 'someone' must 'die' in order for you to live? Don't you think that is selfish?
I mean, I understand that people sometimes have to die to save others, ie: soldiers. But, the differenc here is, those soldiers have a choice and can make their own decisions.
I am more or less in consensus with the two Kyles, and I look forward to seeing what you have to say to that.
One thing I do want to point out, however:
Abortion save lives. From all outer aspects, those ideas could not be more dissimilar. In a culture where abortion is an “immoral” choice and women who elect to have them are considered murders, many overlook this one simple question - can abortion do more harm than good?
I don't think our society, as a whole, sees abortion as immoral. Yes, Christians and other religious groups may, but if the majority of our society found it to be murder in all circumstances, would it still be legalI think, if anything, people find it distasteful at worst if a woman has an abortion for no good reason ("Oops! I had consensual unprotected sex with my boyfriend and now I'm pregnant. Better get an abortion so this doesn't mess with my plans
