Lovely sequel to 'The Wooden Horse'!As in the first story I liked Actaeon's presence very much, even though he doesn't get to play a big part in this one. I loved his silent remarks regarding Alexander and Queen Olympias and the comparison between them.I always thought that Alexander shared his mother's ambiguous nature and this is very well expressed in that wonderful phrase of yours. And what can I say about Alexander? He simply is adorable as a little, yet serious, prince anticipating a friend he has never seen, but secretly hoping that this other boy -whom he already considers as his closest confidant- will be like a miniature version of his dear Amyntor. The part where Alex he can't stop rambling and Heph fears he might suffocate is hilarious btw. Our Hephaistion is also adorable -and adoptable- although he is most of time anxious about losing Stormcloud. This makes him even sweeter though IMHO. Thank you for sharing your wonderful stories! I wish you Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Ria
