The Doctor?

Since you didn't specify which Doctor, here's my thoughts on the main ones I've seen so far.

How I feel about this character: Overall, I like the Doctor. Nine was my first, so while I sometimes prefer his gruffness to the more energetic Ten and Eleven, I can accept both aspects as being a part of the same person.
All the people I ship romantically with this character: [I multiship. A lot] Eight/Grace Holloway, Nine/Rose, Nine/Jack, Nine/Rose/Jack, Nine/The Editor, Ten/Jack, Ten/Shakespeare, Ten/Jackson Lake, Eleven/River, Eleven/Rory, Eleven/Clara. Crack ships: Eight/Clara, Nine/Ten, Eleven/Jack, Nine/River. There's probably more, I just can't think of them right now.My non-romantic OTP for this character: Ten/Donna

How I feel about this character: Monroe is awesome, as simple as that. He's such a great contrast to Nick, and I'm so glad they're friends.

My unpopular opinion about this character: I don't think I have one. (sorry!)
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I'd love to see him go full wessen and tear into one or more baddies who were threatening Nick or Rosalee.

Emma Swan?

Ooh, interesting choice!

How I feel about this character: I like Emma, for the most part. She's brave, resourceful, and not afraid to be blunt with people if the situation calls for it. She has her flaws, which great, and they're realistic ones too.
All the people I ship romantically with this character: Gold/Emma, mostly, but I like Ruby/Emma too.
My non-romantic OTP for this character: Emma/Snow. They are mother and daughter, but they're also friends.
My unpopular opinion about this character: I'd be perfectly happy if Emma remained single for the length of the series. Because aside from Graham, I haven't really liked any of her potential love interests/past love interest.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: In Season 3, I hope Emma steps into the leadership role a bit more, and/or learns how to use a sword. More scenes with Rumpel would be awesome too.

I love Emma and Snow's relationship too.

When it comes to shipping I kind of agree with you (not about Emma/Gold, but to each their own), I'm perfectly fine with Emma not having a romantic interest most of the time. And though I think there is room for Emma/Neal to work out eventually (and I figure that's where it's going to end up) I'm definitely not pushing for it to happen anytime soon.

I figure that the writers are aiming for Emma/Neal as the endgame pairing, at least at this point in time, too. It's just that with the way the writing was during a lot of Season 2, I feel that any romantic relationship they put Emma into would either come off as cheesy or would get screwed over in some fashion, and I have no desire to see either happen.

(I get you with Gold/Emma - it's a weird pairing that's been made even weirder by the events of Season 2)
