All hail the list
What I'm doing, with a nod to fandom and trying not to flail.
1. Have become housewife. Married to a house. At least my cooking still sucks.
2. My grandmother. Ok. It's tough. Every day is a nightmare because I remember this feeling, this looming absence--the great unknown that's barreling in. It's a good day when I can get her to point with her hand and not the floor end of her cane.
ETA: I will remember that she, like all humans, has good days and bad days. I will remember every time she thanks me, or tells me a story, or says something kind and smart, and I will forget every time she snaps at me, or complains that she's useless, or does something childish that I have asked her not to do four times already. I will do this because she is my grandmother.
3. Trying to get into Hugh/Callum RPS. I'm really trying but it's so angsty! Trying to icon it *bats eyes at china_shop* but i'm sort of poking at it from a safe distance.
4. EDDIE IZZARD IN SEATTLE. OMG!
5. Read Mythbusters RPS. Bad idea. Must rant. There really are things you don't do when you're trying to prod your heroes towards each other. It's statistically unlikely to meet four slavering, viperous, soulless women in one narrative. Especially when you only have five female characters and every other male character would give you the shirt off his back. Step off the fanfic, sugar. You're not helping the sisterhood.
6. Today, I put together a bed and pulled weeds (if you can define weeds as brambles stalks that are thick as a film canister)
