Taco Rice Tuesday

I decided to come up with a new concept, mainly as a way to force me to not disappear for months on end. I thought about what would work… and remembered that some of you guys told me you sort-of enjoyed my pointless ramblings about Japan on account it’s not based off cartoons watched by 5-year-olds. I want my own cuddly therapy boy like Naaza, LOL.

OMG this is great! I'm so glad you posted this!! The Japanese skewered the cast while still making it funny, though I can see a lot of what's said here going over the heads of most Ronin Warriors fans.

I used to read a lot of the English Unencyclopedia articles back in the day just because I'd hear about some infamous individuals and man, some of those articles were just down right brutal. Then again a lot of those people really brought that kind of attention onto themselves.

This is the first I've heard of "Uncyclopedia." (Goes to show how "out of the loop" I am with Internet culture.) It doesn't surprise me at all that something like this exists, though I am taken back a bit that the Japanese have a language spin-off of their own (don't know why; it just seems a strange thing for the Japanese to do, though maybe I'm not giving their brand of humor enough credit). I agree with 1_intheshadows; most of this would probably go straight over the fandom's head.

My favorites are the bios for Ryo and Seiji. I laughed at the "where there's nothing but mountains" trope, and I love the reference to Seiji's "falling upside down" (if you think about it, Seiji's introduction is strange-why fall headfirst?).

Anyway, thanks for posting. I'm among the group that ALWAYS appreciates when you post anything in reference to Japan (because it's always something that falls into the category of "the sort of thing an otaku wouldn't know). And, it's just good to see you posting period (speaking of pot calling kettle, lol ( ... )
