First 1-intheshadows and now you. What does it say about the state of things when two of my five LJ friends are coping with the same shite? Crime sucks regardless, but theft holds a special place in the asshattery hierarchy, perhaps because it's often the stealing of stuff, and dang if I ain't a materialistic biznitch who likes her stuff. (I'm sorry for it all, but that Zelda knit hat punches me personally in the gut.) Of course, crime is on the rise in many places around the US, but it sucks even more so when it happens to folks you know. You're usually "out of luck" with robbery situations such as these, but I always hold out hope that the scumbags involved get caught and suplexed through a cement wall. Again, I'm sorry (and pissed).

Sorry I'm late responding to this post, even though you had texted me about it. I still can't believe you were given a freaking Mustang as a rental. I get nervous being around such cars due to how expensive they are.

But in all seriousness, again, I'm sorry you were targeted. Like you, I received rather lackluster responses from the police when I filed my report. You hear about it happening to other people, and you don't want to think it'd ever happen to you. When it does, it's like WHAMM-O! It's a violation of your space.
