I usually put down my neighbors' and my best friend's mother's phone number. As far as I know, none of my employers have ever called them though.

Something like an old teacher could be OK too if you have any of their numbers. o_o;

You can use me as a personal reference, if you want! Lol. I usually use (for personal references) someone I've babysat for or just an old family friend, usually one of my parent's friends or something like that.

If you work at blockbuster, be prepared to be leaving after 1 AM sometimes if you close. :P My boyfriend works there (and is actually quitting this week), and the schedules drive him a little mad because of how late they close. BUT! You do get 5 free rentals per week, so that's cool.

yeah, i figured as much. ^^; but i want to work somewhere in my area (walking distance) that's not fast food. i'll probably just work there for the summer. do you know how much they pay?

actually, if you wouldn't mind it would be nice if i could use you as a reference. the only old family friends i have barely speak english. lol. ^^;; if you wouldn't be uncomfortable with it, you could send me your phone number at iceymoon@gmail.com , otherwise i was thinking of just calling my mom and asking if she knew anyone that could be my reference.

oh, and what are their shifts like? i wanted to work during the day, but i'm sure that's wishful thinking (they probably need people for nights), so if i worked until 1am-ish i wondered what time i would be going in.

thank youuuuuu!!! with you and my one co-worker i still talk to (found out i can put her down as long as she's not my manager/employer), i should be all set. :]

i think all they need is your number. however, thanks for your address because i've been meaning to stalk you! ^_^ i hope they don't call you, but i'm going to put down 4 years that i've known you in case they do and they ask. if they do, just answer however you feel appropriate. i'm not sure what they ask, but it shouldn't be anything too weird. the most difficult question i've ever been asked in an interview was what my bad qualities are. i hadn't anticipated this question, so i stuttered through it until i just said i don't know. @_@; BAD! now i have a pre-meditated answer to that question: "when i'm given a task i am totally sucked into doing it right. in my old job sometimes it would take me longer than others to get a job done, but i was satisfied because people told me i did it best. i'm also really forgetful (with dates and such), but since i've lived with it for ( ... )
