I've seen so many "middle-aged women" at my school who try to look young by getting highlights. In my opinion, it doesn't work and it makes them look like they are trying too hard.

I voted highlights only bc to me that doesnt mean streaks of color ~ but actual highlighting in your hair.

I also vote for a cut ~ nothing dramatic, just shorter to frame your face more and uncover it ~ you seem to hide under your hair in these pics.

My hair is growing crazy-fast in my yonder years also. So much so, even, that people I see every day at work comment on it!

I've also noticed that the trend is to soften up and go lighter in the middle-aged years, but I love the way my gray plays out in rich dark brown hair on me. So, I keep resisting the urge to lighten up. I think you should too -- your hair is gorgeous, and so are you. But if you feel compelled, natural-looking highlights would be a way to try it and see what you think, huh?
