I am pooped! Harvest is intense. We start at 9am and go till about 11pm each day. There are no lunch breaks… you eat as you go. Most of the time I drive the grain truck, which has no air conditioning. It’s been in the 90s here and when you add to that the dryness of the air in the middle of a field with dust and grain chaff flying around…. it ( Read more... )

We officially started harvest yesterday. I drove both the combine and the grain truck by myself for the first time. The combine is actually kind of fun! We had an earthquake yesterday around 10:3011pm MST! Yes, I’m serious… a real Montana earthquake believe it or not! We recently got a new pastor at my home church. Pondera Valley Lutheran. Today was kind of our official service to welcome him into the community. We had worship and then went to Legion Park for a *huge* picnic. This pastor is a really good guy and it makes me sad that I will be going back to school in a few weeks and leaving this behind. This week they have had me actually updating case files at work. Yesterday one of the counselors handed me the key to the confidential files and the case file of a guy I went to high school with. Friday was my 21st birthday. Brittney and her "friend" Chris stopped in before they went back to Billlngs. I folded laundry for the first half of the day.
