Today we had my son's one year birthday party and invited close friends that helped out with babysitting him along with the obligated family members. Everything was going well until my husband called a good friend Aunt in my SIL, husbands side, hearing. I learned of this after the fact, when I went after her as she was storming out the door

Calling friends of your parents "Aunt" and "Uncle" is so normalized in my world I can't even imagine anyone getting upset about it.

I'm sorry your SIL made a scene over something that wasn't a big deal at all. :(
