and OMG, I LOVE Grey's Anatomy!! it's tied with BSG right now for a place in my current tv heart... *sigh* OMG, SO GOOD!! this week is going to be so painful, but so good! :D
BECCA!!!! *twirls moonbebe around in dizzying circles*
I'm so glad you posted!
I haven't watched Gray's Anatomy yet. It's on past my bedtime and I haven't added it to my Tivo list yet. I'll get the first season DVDs and catch up after I do the same with Veronica Mars. I did like Bones but then they moved it opposite both Lost AND Veronica Mars, so it dropped to the bottom of the pile. But they're moving it to 8 on Wednesdays, which is a spot where there's nothing on for me, so that will work out great. I must say, tho, that I like the books better. I like Tempe better in the books, partly because she's closer to my age which is way more believable for a world-renowned forensic anthropologist, and the science in the books is real. No stupid 'holographic' display. *shrug* I don't appreciate the 'Hollywoodification' of the books, I guess. But I do like the show when it's convenient to watch.
How about House? If you haven't watched, you need to. You'd love it. I like DB but he's no Hugh Laurie. Or Robert Sean Leonard
( ... )
I miss you too and I'm really going to try to post more often. At least this time is was only 3 months instead of 2 years... LOL
I haven't read any of the books that Bones is based on, but I actually do own one. :D I guess that's why the stories weren't ruined for me from the get go. I've seen other people write that they can't watch bones because DB will always be Angel to them. Since I didn't watch that either, it's just new for me all around.
As for House... I totally watch that show! My roommates got me hooked at the end of the first season and I've faithfully watched all episodes since - AND I caught up when the first season came out on DVD. Hugh Laurie - HOT! I love that show. :D
Our Tivo schedule is so full it's disgusting! LOL We record everything and then watch it as we're able. I don't think I watch anything when you're supposed to except for Scifi Friday! You definitely need to add in Grey's. It's wonderful.
Don't know about cons yet, tho, as it turns out, I do have the week for the FS con off. Wasn't planned. Just the way my annual mental health week came out. No way will I get to ComicCon as that's a terrible time of year for our department, but I took off for Dragon Con as Number 3 Son loves that.
Read the Kathy Reichs books. You'll enjoy them.
As for Grey's, I just bought a second Tivo ($50 after rebate! You can't beat that with a stick!) so I'll set it to record, but I'd rather watch S1 first. Decisions, decisions! LOL
I never watched Angel tho I did watch Buffy for a while. Reruns and dvds, the way I always watch shows everyone else has been watching. I'm perennially late for these parties! XF, Farscape, Buffy, House, Grey's... The only one I've watched from the start seems to be Lost and I'm losing patience with their interminable 'questions-but-no-answers'. *shrug*
