"Why do people keep sending us coffins?" Jayne asked.

"Clearly we need to get into more trouble than we already are," Mal replied.

"I don't care what kind of trouble you folks are in," the postmaster interrupted, "But you better get this box out of here. Your trouble ain't my trouble, and I want to keep it that way."

"Shouldn't we open it first?" Jayne shrugged lightly. "Might be empty for all we know."

Mal tried to lift one end of the coffin. "Too heavy for that." He unclasped the lid and pushed it open.

"..." The captain grew pale.

"Something good?" Jayne asked.

"Tien xiao de..."

Simon's body lay in the coffin, his clothes bloodstained and his hands covering the wound in his chest. Tucked between his fingers lay a note. Mal quickly grabbed it.

"Don't worry. He is truly dead. I killed him. River."

"Fong le girl," Jayne muttered.
