And so it goes.

Apparently I had "Dance To the Music" by Sly & the Family Stone rated four stars in iTunes. What's wrong with me? I friggin' love that song! A lot like I love Wil Wheaton. I will NOT by myself a $20 audiobook, I will NOT buy myself a $20 audiobook! *closes webpage*In news of the awesome variety, one of my coworkers showed up on Friday with a bag ( Read more... )

He's doing better, still in some pain but on the whole he is on the mend right now. They will keep an eye on things in case it grows back. How is your day going?

It makes me happy to see you doing better. I'm so glad. (And I don't think anybody is where they once meant to be at 25. I sure wasn't.)

Going reasonably well! Nothing particularly exciting -- well, I guess that I'm going for my Scottish dance teaching certification, but that is one of those things that's interesting only to a small subset of the world. I find it so, anyway! And fortunately the process means I have about a year to figure out what I want to do with it after.

Still working at Tufts, too. In Romance Languages, which I can't remember if I told you or not. Anyway, it's nice -- your basic office job, but with good people, which always makes or breaks any job for me. And then I can put it down at 5 and go off to do my own thing, which is really really nice. I always thought I'd have some Grand Avocation rather than settling down to be a secretary for the indefinite future, but I'm kind of really liking this whole 'day job' thing.

Something is wrong with Triv? D:

The flowers were fine. I've got the Larsson book to read but haven't started it yet. It's good?

I don't know specifics but it involved surgery and stitches and giving herself shots at home. D:

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo takes a while to get started, I think I past 100 pages before reading actually became a compulsion. But his characters are just so interesting that I didn't really care that I was reading so much exposition. It all had the sense of building up feeling and motivation for the characters, which it did, and I suspect that some of the details will be important. It's wonderfully well written!
