It was hysterical and the woman who is the evangelist wants a reality check saying that these girls need to 'get away from this sort of thing as it can lead to darker things and of course there is a secret side to it all' wink wink nudge nudge oh yes and then in the next breath say - well the church needs to 'get them in and then work on them' erm ( Read more... )

I like the comment the guy from Ekklesias made when the comments were read out from 'Pagans' who were stating it has nothing to do with satanism etc and how they were offended at the implication etc - and the evangelical lady said - aaaah well it does and it can and x y and z and the guy from Ekklesias said - well it is a bit rude to throw away the comments from people who are pagan or witches who may know more than you do from actually doing it - she was silent for a moment but then said again - well it is know that it can

ooooooooooooooook

with love and a minor rant head on

and the last bit for the moment just watched it back - the article before was about the scottish cardinal who had likened the number of abortions done to dunblain etc and who was saying no one who agreed with abortion should be in a church or taking mass

Mr Ferrari's comments to the evangelical lady who had agreed with the cardinal when she made a comment about - well this leads to sinister and nasty things which can have a bad effect on the mental health of young girls -

well do you not think the church's stance on abortion and not allowing the use of condoms could be seen by many as sinister and questionable yet you are saying this which is reported as being loving and nature based etc is worse hmmmm

did she answer

no she just went red and sort of mumbled

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I need more tea and home made bread and marmite!

I caught the 'report' and the discussion after it but was out in the garden by the time they read out comments later. If I had the time or inclination I would have emailed them to ask why the programme felt it was ok to do a badly researched and ill informed report on Paganism and suggest that it's dangerous and the opposite of Christianity but then follow that with Hindi dancers without for one moment discussing the number of people following that religion, whether Chrisitianity should target these people to get them into church or warning people that as it follows heathen gods Hinduism can lead to Satanism.

Ha ha I was waiting with score cards for the how patronising can gloria bunnyford be and it was off the scale but the woman who was the evangelist and conservative member of the synod defied logic - I do think she was some sort of strange fembot!

Oh I'm ok (apart from a chest infection, but unlike Prescott I'm not wussing out in a hospital)soon off to upset those nice people in Norfolk and Suffolk or as I like to know it, middle earth with boats, to block their quaint country lanes with a huge French car and a caravan, and a slightly smaller French car in scary green, with a big black trailer, they'll be boiling the oil and getting all the beacons lit thinking the French really are going to invade and rape all their (ahem) Virgins and pillage their Skyboxes!

Oh dear. Yes there are darker things, I would say that your evangelical acquaintance's imagination is one of them.
Why would I boil my cat? She's not a lobster ...
Never mind, Kath, your Witchcraft is closer to what christianity was supposed to be than is her evangelism. I feel for you in the textathon though.

So that's where my kitty went. I obviously boiled it.
