A Time photo has this for its caption:

I wish I could help. But my knowledge of French is positively basic - as in numbers and days of the week. lol

It says on about.com that the true meaning of je ne se quoi is "I don't know what." And when it's used in English, it means "a certain something".

But who knows. Maybe Time made a mistake and it's supposed to be quoi instead of crois
