sob okay so ... Richter doesn't really. Have another relationship like Conrad! It are unique. He hasn't interacted repeatedly with anyone in camp (or like ... ever) who is both very positive toward and. not ... pushy? like, almost all of the Symphonia cast who are his ~positive influences~ are PUSHY AS HELL Richter Richter talk to us about your feeeeeeeliiiiiiings and, of course, RICHTER NEVER WANTS TO. fuck feelings okay the last time he dealt with his feelings he trolled a massive underground resistance group and is now quite content to sit and brood on all the terrible things he's done. like you're supposed to. and Conrad doesn't push him there! well, he partially figures it's because he doesn't know a lot about TERRIBLE THINGS but ... it's nice to have a positive non-Jesusy person to talk to

Richter reminds Conrad of Gwendal SO MUCH in that he is super uptight and fuck humans and tsun and I shun your feelings. So . . . Conrad likes to poke at him, but in very subtle ways. Like asking offhanded questions and then letting the subject go almost immediately after and so on because it helps him get an idea of what going on in Richter's head. He also feels something of an affinity with Richter because they're both half-human, but whereas Richter had what seems to be a traumatic childhood, Conrad didn't. Ish. So he's . . . a bit sympathetic to Richter? He also just genuinely likes him and wants to get to know him better and no amount of >( on Richter's part is going to make him stop

God okay Judith is still kind of confused on how Raven picked Naoto out because ... she really likes Naoto! Surprise! She sees her as smart and confident and capable, but also very cute in some ways that show how young she is. I think Naoto is ... definitely her 'type' when it comes to girls lololol orz.
Oh right Masqué thing happened and she was very impressed to see Naoto all detective-y in action! She's listened to her talk about it several times and knows how passionate she is about it, so it was very cool for her to see Naoto in her element. Also then they were beating up cultists and iyaaaaaa fighting.
So idk I think she's ... solidly decided that she's attracted to Naoto at this point. Which isn't a super big deal for Judith because she is ... the free bitch of the Vesperia party, sob.

Like ... on the one hand she's a little upset with Yuri for fucking with Raven that way, especially while she was indisposed being deaged, but on the otherhand this lead to more ... Vesperia polyamory, which she will never say no to.
Then there was also that moment where he ... dropped the whole 'Raven' persona, which freaked her out a bit, but also weirdly intrigued her. I mean she knows he did the whole Schwann act for a while, so it's kind of confusing to try and figure out where all of his personality tiers fit ... within each other.
oh yeah and then there were makeouts. it seemed like a good idea at the time! w/e judy does what she wants

SO. Raven ran into Judith immediately after fighting with Yuri, which means his guard was down and his energy to keep up the act was really low. But at the same time... Yuri is really the only one of the party Raven really talks about his issues with, and he also sort of... assumes the rest of the party is closer to each other than he is to them. Judith's Brave Vesperia! So he really didn't want to talk about what was wrong with her, and didn't really expect any sympathy. Of course he did get sympathy, so he backed off a bit on being irrationally angry at her, but yeah.

Basically post-makeouts Judith is big ? because Raven doesn't know why she would kiss him and has realized he doesn't actually... know her very well personally, because all their conversations tend to be about her breasts. But I mean. He'll still take breasts and inexplicable makeouts over SO HOW ABOUT THAT WAR OF GENOCIDE, HUH?

I still think they should try to really talk about something else though.

um okay my personal headcanon is that Judith hung around Myorzo from when she was like 10 to 15 being a disaffected youth until she finally decided to go on ~BLASTIA DESTROYING WORLD TOUR~ and sort of went ... crazy. teenage style. This included having sex! Which she liked, but quickly ... i dunno, got a distaste for it? Especially with boys, most of whom didn't really seem interested in giving her much pleasure. I THINK SHE PREFERRED GIRLS FOR A WHILE THEN and then as she got older became better at picking out people she could have good one-night stands with.

IDK not much besides her just starting to like Flynn more. Seeing him a little more laid back is nice! still just LOL LOEV on the whole, though.

Flynn is starting to relax a lot more and he's acting more like he acts around Yuri with Judith now. Which means he's more likely to blush less and act more like himself. Most people only get to see the knight side of him, the Perfect Knight in Shining Armour and all that, because he tends to default to that. But there's a more relaxed Flynn that banters and enjoys fighting as much as Yuri, and normally, the only one who can see that side is Yuri himself and a few others. He's starting to let Judith see that part of himself now, SO IT'S A GIVEN THAT HE LIKES JUDITH MORE.

so like ... how do you combine movie and manga canon and play Anemone like that? I HAVEN'T READ THE MANGA but iirc it basically went for the rocks fall everyone dies route, or something??

YEAH BASICALLY except nobody actually dies except Dominic. Anemone's just confined to a wheelchair forever, thx BONES. So what I do is take bits and pieces of her personality from the manga to supplement the sad amount of backstory and just... daily interactions between Dominic and Anemone that the anime gave me. Like the fact that she loev cake or that she beats Dominic for minor stuff like it being cloudy outside because she's pissy. Anything that doesn't directly conflict with the anime, which is my main canon, gets put in! Which sadly doesn't describe anything from the novels or that stuff would be included too. The movie is included in my playing in that... it shows off how she could actually be well adjusted when not shanking people with her robot. But mostly I just used the movie for the icons because I am le icon whore.

Three reasons you enjoy Judith's canon?

1. Yuri Lowell. Okay he is like the least Tales of protagonist a Tales of game has had as a protagonist. He is snarky! And not hopelessly idealistic! He's actually much more of the dark, world-wise older brother character than plucky young hero, and that's awesome.

2. The main party's relationship! I haven't played a Tales of game, or other RPG, that develops such an amazing nakama relationship with the party. You can actually see these people going to hell and back for each other, because you honestly get the feeling that they care.

3. you have a dog. with a pipe. in your party.
