I really enjoyed reading it in spite of not knowing the film.

Glad you liked it.

I tweaked it a bit as the Amy/Ianto character was a lot more indecisive in the film, but most of it is pretty true to the original plot. (Aside from John and his poodles of course ;))
It's fun, and I definitely recommend it.

The hardest part about writing this - not using 'she' and 'her' as pronouns. I swear every time I thought I had them pulled out as my beta said "Jack put on a bra again."

Maybe I shouldn't have been watching it as I wrote?

Yay! The hero gets his man! (I'm just not sure which of them is the hero!)

Never seen the film, but this was a hoot! (Despite the sad bits). Good to see everything working out right in the end. I love happy endings!
