baby lust

i have heard that there is an actual term called baby lust, meaning to really want a baby

I have never once in my life experienced that. *shudder* And thank god, they are a HUGE responsibility.

when i think about actually having a baby and how much work is involved and everything i get rather frightened. but i have always wanted to have kids i was one of those little girls who spent way to much time daydreaming about being a mommy. for the most part i was a tomboy but not when it came to knowing that someday i wanted to be a mommy. luckily i decided pretty early on that if iw as going to have kids i wanted to do a good job and that meant learning how to not be the sort of parents i had growing up :) along with learning a lot about babies and kids

I can't even handle one of our dogs, let alone a child. I'm simply not mentally able to do it. I know although I've never had baby lust, that I would entertain the idea occasionally because I did really enjoy teaching, until we got a dog and then I realized that I am hardwired the way I am exactly because I shouldn't have children. I'm mentally very independent and I've found that anything that infringes on that means I become dangerously unhinged. I'm not even kidding here, but I'm not afraid to admit it either ha ha. I'm the queen of just putting it all out in the open! Neither of my sisters wants children either, although I believe they would be better mothers. It will be interesting to see my dad's side of the family die out after we're gone. Ha!
