Life is so full of opportunities to have these amazing moments, where you feel that there is nothing better than to be alive. The world we live in, however, is cold and lonely. I guess we just live for the good moments, when they come along, and bide our time in-between.

Just yesterday, my mother told me that she'd gone by my old elementary school to drop off something for the secretary: kid's band-aids. She'd done this before, claiming she was repaying the school for all the ones I used when I went there. Christmas was okay. The holiday with family was expectedly not terrific, but at least the presents didn't suck this year. New Years was pretty fun, except for when I went to show up at the apartment and no one was home, so I had to be passed around between Sasha's friends just so I had somewhere warm to be and something to do.

I won an iPod on Tuesday. Just like Mal two years ago... only this one's a nano video touch. I got lucky? I think yes.
