a/n: drabbles from my personal blog - these are from my picture-a-day collection. every drabble comes with a picture, and for this post, the first one's hand drawn by me. ♥
but no, that's because our hearts are laced when you see the moonkissed stars.
you reach out, feeling cool raindrops falling, falling, falling.
you're shivering, it's cold and the wind is gushing harshly.
but a warm hand envelops yours, its fingers entwining with your own,
and suddenly, you feel that the weather's nothing at all.
inside of you, it's so warm, your heart's melting.
and you pad along the beach, feeling waves rush against your bare feet.
the sun's vehement glow is upon you, the soft sand pushing in between your toes,
a texture so smooth. not a word is spoken, everything you can hear is the swishes of the waves.
all of a sudden, the sea pulls back and the sun is beaming upon the shore,
and you see love, feel love lingering in the air as he presses his lips sweetly onto yours.
you're reminded of the summer you spent together,
empty railway tracks, flowers that paved your way.
holding hands, you treaded along the sides, tiptoeing as you walked.
his hold was so tight, you felt that it was forever.
but you reached the end of the tracks, and you were afraid it would end, just like that.
he gripped your hand, pulled you in, hugged you in an embrace so warm.
then, you knew, this was forever.
you decide to take a risk and jump.
you want to feel the wind streaming through your hair,
oxygen rushing into your lungs. you hold your breath,
letting go of the hand that you were grabbing on so tightly to before,
and you jump, you fly, you soar.
the world below you lightens, the air around you saccharine.
you feel like you're flying,
you're finally free.
"hey! i'm supposed to take a photo of you, not the other way around!"
you exclaim, the salty air around you lingering in your senses.
"how's this, baby, i'll take a photo of you taking a photo of me. awesome idea, right?"
he grins cheekily, his smile bright as the sun above you.
"yeah, right."
you give a pout then a frown, eyes misty in the golden light.
"ready?"
he asks.
you nod your head, raising your camera to your face, aiming properly so that you could get the best shot of him, angling the device to perfection.
you snap a shot, the shutter clicking.
"let me see!"
both of you shout at the same time, childish beams printed on both your faces.
your giggles are heard over the swishing waves of the sea,
your heartbeats synchronize with the hypnotic beat of the waves,
and the pictures of you and him imprint deep onto your minds,
hearts entwined.

they're nameless, so you pretty much can just fit in any name you want. ♥
the first one's drawn by me, but it's a little awkward so... overlook the weird? :|
