Yesterday afternoon I took the kids to a local park not too far from where I live. What is really cool about this place is that it has a spring and manatees come there in the winter months since the spring maintains an average temperature of about 73 degrees (yesterday’s high temp. was only 65 degrees-cold for Florida). So the manatees were there

They are very sweet--It was so very exciting to be so close to one. If it wasn't illegal I could have reached down and petted one. And she had such big friendly eyes!
