Over the past two weeks, I've been pissed about how the events in New Orleans has been handled, but after volunteering at two different places today to help out the evacuees, I realize how stupid it is to keep on blaming people instead of trying to help those who are really in need (I understand what you mean now Ian). Teresa I love you. That sounds like it would be very rewarding...my friend Becky just turned in her application to volunteer with the Red Cross, and I've been thinking about it too. I should just get off my ass and do it. Or give blood, or something. My dad was watching a little bit of the benefit concert tonight, and it was playing on every. single. channel. It was pretty awesome. And everyone who was answering the phones was a celebrity...that was cool to see.

I just hope the situation starts improving bit by bit soon. And man, my mom was telling me about the pets....there must be 50,000 pets wandering around with no food or water right now. Makes me sick to think about it.
