After replying, the child takes a sip from a nearby coffee cup while presumably reading the open book on the table.

[M!Haru frowned ever so slightly. The answer was acceptable to him however....it made the child even more...unusual. For what he knew of the mansion's inhabitants....they lied and behaved emotionally. It was pleasing to see.]
"Even bystanders can be come casualties." It was not a threat merely a statement of the truth. "Don't die here."

"Perhaps so, but I'll take the risk." He closes the hardcover book with a quiet thump. But he stays seated, only moving to crane his head in the other's direction. The motion is fluid in an almost mechanical way. "And I won't die so easily at any rate."
While his voice is still rather deadpan and his expressive stays passive, he manages to say that last part with something akin to amusement. Or maybe not. It's always hard to tell with these kind of people.
