I woke up today to an invite to some poly speed dating event being put on by Poly Toronto. I have no interest in dating (speed, or otherwise) but something caught my eye: straight men could only come if they brought a woman. This struck me in a bad mood because it is yet another example of the division which cuts my will to live to its core. In

Maybe they will have more gardening meet-ups (or other outdoor social meet-ups) when Spring comes. I should probably look for those too, considering my spring/summer job title and the fact I know very little about gardening. Sucks that the poly group is like that, but if they make you question your will to live, then yeah, that's not good.

Well, in the defence of the poly group, they have tried to avoid doing this. The problem is a few group members, as opposed to any official management. This was more of a "last straw" problem, as opposed to anything truly systemic. After talking to Steve, though, I realized that a single "last straw" was all I needed to get rid of what appears to be a toxic element.

Yeah I know you went to some good meet-ups with that group. I don't blame you though because one toxic experience is enough. There will be other groups to join.
