When I scratched the line from one end of the arrow to the other completing my vote no on Proposition 8, a thrill went down my spine the likes of which I haven't felt since I voted for Clinton when I was 22. Oh, I was happy to vote for Obama, don't get me wrong, but voting for my own freedom and happiness... that's a thrill that is hard to ( Read more... )

well, I've voted, I've honked, and I've actually contributed money to a political campaign for the first time in my entire life.

If we can get this one done for you, by hook or by crook, we will.

(Mainly because I want to be the ringleader of THAT TABLE at your wedding reception one day...)

Give me a move date as soon as you have one so we can start rounding up the usual suspects. If you have 30 people, everybody only has to carry one box. ;]

I am so happy for you and Liz. It's so rare to find love nowadays. I try to encourage single people by attempting to instill hope and chance, but the truth is we're damn lucky if we find that special someone.

I wish you both the best, (and I'm sure Erik does too.) We'll have to get dinner together when you have time.

As you already know, I'm ecstatic for you and Liz. And gosh, I sure hope you feel better soon, too! And even if you hire movers, I'm available to help pack or carry fragile stuff or whatever. I'm doing good and there's nothing earth shattering in my LJ to catch up on. Today I'm feeling hopeful, optimistic, and excited, even though I have no known reason to feel that way just yet. But I'll take it. It sure is a marked improvement over anger and frustration and despair.

But if you want to read something funny (well, I thought it was funny, but no one commented on it other than my husband, but I pay him to laugh at my humor), you can read my LJ post from 11/3/2008. And by funny, I mean making fun of myself, so YMMV.

Well, if you ride a bike in the rain...buy* the ticket, take the ride. ;]
