I am re-thinking looking at the house-like places on my list which would be at the upper end of our budget. I think I would much rather have an apartment and be saving oodles of cash for things like a couch, a better mattress, and, eventually, a house of our own. :)

Your thoughts?

Works for me. I'm ready to start apartment hunting at the crack of dawn Sunday morning - after going through Clocktower or Peet's or something.

Would you have any interest in us possibly inquiring about our old place near El Cam and Castro?

Nah. The old place didn't have a private outside area for the plants and cats, if I recall correctly. It was pretty money otherwise, though.

How close does your Sweetie need to be to school? How close do you need to be to work?

We are looking anywhere from Sunnyvale to Menlo Park. How do you like your place?

Yes and no. I generally argue against renting from corporate companies. The location is great, it comes with a washer, dryer and fridge, the place is well kept. Service complaints are responded to same day.

However, it's right by Caltrain, in the flight path of Moffet Field, and there are lighting issues.

2 Bed places run anywhere from 1690 to 2700 depending on location in the complex (we're by the playground so it's cheaper) and time of year you rent (this isn't a bad time to ask).

Ping me if you want contact info for the place and you can look for yourself.

Lighting issues? Liz really needs lots of naatural light. I only saw your place at night, so I'm not sure what it's like. We'd ideally like a place around $1800-$1900, though we can go higher.

I know our old place probably doesn't have enough outside space for you, but just for the record, they allow pets.

I have (I think 8) very nice packing boxes for you. I can give them to you on Sunday, or if you'd like, I can hold them until you need them.

I'm so excited for you. :D
