Liz's last day of the fall semester is today. Huzzah! I may actually get a chance to see her for more than an hour at a time! This last week I have slept alone every night and I really don't like that any more. Huh ( Read more... )

almost all social interaction will cease

This might work out, actually, if yoga is included in that statement. Kel's helping C with a play at her church, and isn't sure if she'll be able to meet with us until rehearsals are over. I'll try to find out today if she has more information in regards to time.

But if she can't, and you'll be tied up with moving, then maybe we'll want to take a hiatus on the Sunday mornings until after the holidays.

Oh, good. Um, yeah, and I may skip this Sunday in favor of snuggling. I have missed my girl, oy.

It's amazing how the switch flips. Left by myself, I sleep like absolute distilled crap. I was never like that until That Blonde One moved in with me...;]

Having shared my bed with my Jon for over 17 years, I know exactly what you mean! When he has to be away for whatever reason, I will actually put a pillow under the blankets on his side of the bed to trick myself into thinking he's with me so I can sleep.

At this time of year, snuggling with another warm body is way more important than yoga. ;)

Can I make lentil soup (veggie broth, of course) and bring it over some evening during the Social Outing Blackout and help pack/organize/distribute? Think about the offer as you get closer to the SOB. (hahahaha, that cracks me up.)

Two possibilities:

1) Social Outing Blackout
2) She's referring to ME and the Redskins bar trip Sunday ;]

I believe we owe you a non-trivial amount of packing and moving assistance going back to the departure from the Wee Apt and the establishment of Ploughboy Mansion West. So don't hesitate to holler. ;]

now that you mention it... jsmitty_o November 21 2008, 20:56:28 UTC
hmmmm, maybe I do mean #2 (*snicker* I am NINE) after all. ;)

And omigod, do we ever owe her and E one meeellion packing karma points.

Having gone through it myself, I fully understand "the honeymoon phase." You've just moved in together and are nesting, and all you want to do is spend every available moment with the other person as you put your new lives together.

Enjoy it, and we'll see you both once the phase has passed.

I don't think this four week phase is the honeymoon phase, it's more the oh-shoot-I-have-no-available-cash-or-time! phase as she pays rent on two places, not to mention a security deposit, and then she has to pack, etc. I remember that phase before we bought our house and it sucks. Luckily, it's temporary!

What's in a move? You make moving, packing, and settling in with four cats sound all complicated.

*laughs* Well, even more than complicated, it's EXPENSIVE. Oy. I may need to hit up the Bank of Dad for a loan....

Yeah. There's always the option to start charging the cats rent. You'll make a fortune in squirrels and bugs.
