My life in bullet points:
- I am eagerly awaiting an email in regard to volunteering to visit with local seniors. I am more excited about this than I can describe.

Go with the photographer whose shots you like and who has a reputation for being flexible and professional. I was poor at the time and went with a photographer who met the budget and little else.
Some things you can't put a price on. For example showing up on time, doing the sorts of things you like, but having ideas on what would really look good...oh and familiarity with location...priceless.
I'm so excited for you and Liz. Good luck! Enjoy the adventure.

It would be expensive to put her up the night before so she could scout out on her own, but that would be ideal.
Maybe you could help familiarize her with the location by sending her some of your own pictures of the location or a video. The light won't be the same, but at least she won't be coming in cold.

The end result? We have virtually ZERO photographs of the two of us on our wedding day. (Save for the alter shots and what not.. but she couldn't use a flash in the church, so those are virtually useless, dark, and unfocused.)
The point here? Go with someone you feel comfortable with.. don't go based on price, don't go based on doing a favor for anyone.. do what YOU feel comfortable with. If this lady makes you feel warm and fuzzy, if she's going to know what kind of photos you want and what you don't want... DO IT! :) It's your big day.. you want GOOD photographic evidence.
