Graduate School doesn't really leave you with much in the way of free time. It's been pretty cool so far, working with Dr. Atkinson and getting paid for going to school and stuff. What free time I do have is devoted almost exclusively to playing Dungeons and Dragons, playing Magic: the Gathering, and reading articles from scientific journals. ( Read more... )

Well, I've come to the part of my grad school career when it's time to decide who I'll do my rotations with. For the uninitiated, I choose three professors and do a seven-week stint in their lab. I went to the doctor today. I was worried I might be getting a sinus infection, since my cold from a month ago never quite left me alone. The Nurse practitioner said I could have a minor infection, or I might not. She said she would put me on amoxycillin, if I decided I wanted it.
