i like the song.

i was worried that anything other than the slightly faded coloring of the vintage willy wonka might bother me - as in, its too new, too bright, too much of everything when the story really creates that atmosphere already without over the top visual design needed.

but it looks good to me anyway.

yes, i was worried about this one, too. just because the first one is not to be messed with...i have to admit im still a little worried about veruca salt because, honestly, no one will play her better than the first girl (whose name, im ashamed to admit, i do not know) BUT if i had to pick anyone that would not offend me to remake this movie tim burton and johnny depp are surely them.
i saw this preview a few days ago and it looked pretty good to me. the kids seem young...but i dont know if that is just because i have seen the first one so much and they really are closer to that age in the book? i dont remember it too well....

how are you now? are you moving to new york city or staying in DC? did you ever get my postcard?

dear sara i hope that amsterdam is working out much better for you than munich did. was it fun to watch the kids at least? i am super jealous of your two joanna newsom concerts as i tried to see her at the drag city christmas ball in nyc this weekend & the tickets to both shows were sold out! i should have just bit it & paid the ticket web service fee but i was feeling righteous about it & refused. and now there are no east coast shows announced for months. so sad

i am so excited that you love joanna like i do. she is so amazing. i desperately wanted to go to that drag city christmas party but, alas, i am still overseas. amsterdam is turning out to be a lot, no wait, A LOT better than munich...its cheaper here and i feel more comfortable, etc. if you have a new address i can send you a postcard from here...

that is so exciting that you are moving to nyc. i want to move to san francisco but i dont know if i can afford it. maybe i should go back to school...
