liza, i can't believe we missed eachother in portland by what, half a week? i guess that's our lives now, &i backed out of suusi young adult staff at the last minute, with a bullshit excuse, &am now somewhat unhappily in brazil trying to understand why it is that i am reading airport fiction &singing children's songs instead of locking myself in a library &reading baudrillard like any self-respecting person writing a dissertation would be doing? anyway, i am losing my mind but hoping you will write me, at least yr phone number, here or to solomon.zinn.traurig@gmail.com, &i will call you when i am back in the states &maybe this friendship we have can start being real again, i hope!?
