the beauty of this country is that we're almost encouraged to remember our roots and to celebrate them (except for ignorant prejudice and intolerance which pitted the majority against certain groups throughout different times in this country's history because of various reasons -- the indians, the jews, the irish, the chinese, the japanese, the african american, the arab semetics, etc.) -- one could say it's still a 'work in progress', imperfect. the scriptures describe a better one: ezek. 38:23, ps 37:10-11
