...and its true that I KICK ASS!

I've heard people preaching the Democratic ideal because it will 'fix our country's reputation'.

I gained the most respect for Bush when he slammed his dick on the table and told the UN to go fuck themselves when they said we couldn't retaliate for 9/11. Back then, everyone was behind him, too. The difference is, when things start to get a little ( Read more... )

Leaving aside what a horribly bad idea it was to ignore the U.N. (we're a pretty cool nation, but we're not uberspecial snowflakes and can't break rules that we helped devise and implement when it suits us... the reason the U.N. didn't want us in Iraq was because they were savvy enough to know that the war was *not* retaliatory for 9/11.

If it was, we would have been attacking Saudi Arabia or Pakistan, certainly not Iraq.

I have little love for the UN as of late. But what the US did was to enforce the UN's resolutions in Iraq, not say "fuck you". The problem is, President Bush failed to do so in a way that could get quiet support from the UN after the fact ( ... )

The UN did not say we should not retaliate for 9/11. They supported the attack against Afghanistan and Al Queda. The whole world was on our side.

The whole world went "WTF?!?!?" when Bush started looking at Iraq. A country with no WMDs, had nothing to do with 9/11, but whom Bush had a personal grudge and a monetary goal.

By the way, after seven years, where is the man Bush promised to deliver? Where is Osama Bin Laden?

Bush: "I'm not concerned about [him]."

That's because he's too concerned filling his own pockets and killing Saudi Arabia's competition for oil production.

I wonder what the international reaction would have been if Bush was just up front about saying, "We need control of an oil producing nation to secure our economy, and Iraq drew the short straw."

If we attacked Iraq for oil, why are we paying record prices?

because it's not going the way the New American Century thought it would.

Also, if we're paying $3 a gallon for gas, why should the oil companies charge us less for it? We obviously can afford and are willing to pay it. So our demand is not tampered by the price of the supply. That's what unregulated capitalism is all about right? If no one steps in and says "enough" then why shouldn't they charge what they want for it.

(Blame taxes, I dare you.)
