Character's Personality (One to two paragraphs, please): The first impression that people would get of Shinjiro is that of a hobo punk. He's a rather rough person, both in his actions and speech. He's not particularly aggressive as in that he usually won't be the one to initiate a fight, but when he has to fight he's pretty strong and rough. When he's speaking his speech is usually curt and blunt; not to mention he's rather fool-mouthed. Back alleys is where he usually hangs out with the wrong crowd. Overall he seems like the kind of person you wouldn't want to be around much.
But Shinjiro actually isn't all that bad. He has a deep love for cooking and animals - particularly dogs - which he frequently tries to hide from the rest of the group. When he cares about someone he also starts caring deeply, he starts (secretly and discreetly so nobody will quickly notice) mother henning them by making sure they aren't acting too recklessly and making sure they're getting their nutrients. But even though he secretly does that, he always makes sure that people stay well away from him. He knows that he's dangerous, he knows that his Persona is dangerous since it could go out of control again - he has already taken a life, after all - and therefore isolates himself by going where nobody he would care about go; hanging out with the wrong crowd in essence. He still feels guilty over what happened to Ken's mother and because it's eating away at him he purposely makes sure that he won't be able to do something like that again.
He doesn't seem to care about anything most of the time, but he does care about a lot of things, particularly the people close to him. In fact, the only thing that he doesn't care about is himself. He takes drugs to suppress his Persona even though he knows that eventually those will kill him, he willingly joins SEES again because he knows Ken will kill him as revenge for him taking his mother's life, his room in the dorm is almost completely empty save for the things he really needs like a bed. He doesn't value himself or his life anymore. This is why he can't really deal with compliments or people acting nice to him. He can't care about himself anymore so he can't see why anyone else would, prompting him to be very awkward or curt when dealing with those kind of things.
Any special abilities or powers the character may have: Shinjiro is tough. He usually fights with a huge axe in the game and at one point even uses a bus stop sign. Even with his Persona he's incapable of using real elemental magic but his strength stat is ridiculously high. Therefore he's pretty strong; even without using his Persona.
Shinjiro also has access to a 'Persona', a sort of spirit that he's able to summon using a special object called an Evoker. (It's shaped much like a gun and it looks like shooting yourself in the head when you use it.) His Persona is called Castor and is mostly capable of stronger physical attacks than Shinjiro can dish out. He is also very slowly healed (regaining hit points) while his Persona is in use and his Persona also has the ability to counter physical attacks at random. Shinjiro's Persona is special in a way that it's dangerous-- his Persona can go out of control and start attacking random things near to it. Because of this he tends to prefer fighting with his own strength.

Of course a human just had to decide to experiment around with them for his own good and of course it went wrong. The scientists of the group who experimented on them, the Kirijou Group, learned about the prophecy of The Fall, which tells us that when humanity starts to wish for the end of the world, Nyx will come down and destroy everything. They also learned about Nyx' messenger, Death, the thirteenth Arcana that was never meant to be. They started to group tons of Shadows together in an attempt to revive Death, seeing it as a relief, and because of that summon Nyx once again as well. But it went wrong indeed. The experiment was interrupted and Death was split up into twelve other parts, named after the Arcana before Death. Death and the other Shadows still present started raging and created the Dark Hour, the twentyfifth hour of the day where Shadows rule, and Tartarus, the tower of despair where Shadows rule. But when Death ran off one of the anti-Shadow weapons, Aigis, managed to catch up with it and saw no other choice but to seal it into a nearby little child whose parents had just died to stop it from causing further harm.
Shinjiro, having lost his parents at a young age, was part of SEES, a group for fighting the shadows that escaped Tartarus, along with Mitsuru and Akihiko. (Akihiko was his childhood friend; they used to be in the same orphanage. Shinjiro stole dolls for his little sister because they couldn't pay for them, causing Akihiko to punch him. :| Fun times indeed. Akihiko was the sole reason he joined SEES even though his Persona could go out of control and was potentionally dangerous; he didn't want Akihiko to fight without him.) But during one mission Shinjiro's Persona went out of control and killed an innocent woman. After that he quit SEES and started skipping school more, hanging out with the wrong crowds and becoming a sort of shady character. He even started making deals with a group named Strega to get supressants from them to control his Persona.
Akihiko tried to get him to join SEES again quite a lot of times, but Shinjiro always refused until he heard that a boy named Ken Amada had joined SEES recently as well; the son of the woman he accidentally killed back then. That was when Shinjiro made the decision to join SEES once again and started fighting with them in Tartarus and became increasingly close with the new leader of SEES, Kazehana.
But the true reason Shinjiro rejoined the group was because he knew Ken wanted to take revenge on him for what he did all those years ago. And Shinjiro was fully willing to undergo this revenge; he felt too guilty for killing her, even if it was an accident. They met seperately while the main group was fighting a big Shadow during the Dark Hour. Ken was about to kill Shinjiro - who wasn't even protesting - when Takaya, one of the Strega members suddenly popped up with a gun. Since he knew Shinjiro and Ken's lifespans had run out anyway (Ken was going to kill himself after taking Shinjiro's life) he claimed he would do the killing for them. Just as Shinjiro and Ken were staring down the barrel is where he'll be taken from.

The first thing he notices is a very, very bright light that his eyes can't quite adjusts to just yet and his last memory - Takaya and his gun - shoots through his mind. Was he dead now? Was this - a surprisingly cold and bright - hell?
His body feels stiff and he can barely do anything more than letting out a grunt before his eyes slowly adjust to the light and the sound from the door reaches his ears even though it doesn't register quite yet. He starts mumbling. ]
... What the..?
[ With great effort he manages to push himself off the floor as he now finally notices something - the door - staring back at him as it's alarm starts to ring. Great. He lets out another grunt. As he speaks up his tone is rather cynical. ]
Not even gonna rest in peace, I see.
Possible Plans (What does your character plan to do once joining the Order? This does not count towards the overall application process): Shinjiro will probably try fighting for the Order after he gets settled down enough and finds out just how screwed up this Akuma stuff is; although he would definitely limit the use of his Persona in battle since it's so dangerous. Plus he'll probably try cooking for people at one point because he'll succumb to his motherhen-woobie instincts that need to make sure everyone gets the right nutrients. (This is clearly serious business.)
