I don't know why everyone keeps telling me to create my own site. =oP I think that's something I see way too often in the Community and it's not something I ever had a desire to do myself, other than with Jedi Outreach and my Gatherings groups which were only created to fulfill a specific purpose, not serve as a community site. Everytime someone doesn't like the way things are going at the site they belong to, they decide to branch off and create their own site and see if they can do things better. Most of those sites die within a few months. Although some actually survive for a while if they have the right timing and get the right influx of members.
Creating a site means making a committment to the members that you will be there for them, and I don't have the time or energy to do that right now. Also, I want to bring people together, not divide them further between even more sites.
Who knows, though. Maybe I'll create one eventually, but now is definitely not the right time.
Actually, in the past I've just completely brushed it off the many times people have suggested it to me before. But for some reason when replying to you, it actually became something I might consider. Definitely not right now, since I'm busy studying for my licensure exam. But I'll see how I feel and how the Community looks at the end of this year, and maybe see what I want to do then.
