Wow. There are a number of things in this write-up that seemed really exciting to me (..and I'll admit one of them was the cute stuffed swans XD). Your humor in this was delightful.
I'm surprised by how small Odette's role actually is--it's almost a Tutu-esque role in its brevity. I really really want to see a ballet now. I haven't seen any ever since I got into PT and now I feel like I would know what kinds of things I should be looking for/paying attention to. *sigh*
H'm. It isn't that Odette's role is small, I think; it's just that in a literary way there's not much to say about it, until you know a lot more than I do about ballet, and can judge the ballerina's performance. Odile's role is smaller, she's only in Act 3 (which is one reason why one needs program notes to get through this
