Just to let people know I'm still around, my archaeology course is finished (no results until mid-June though) and, other than a few May birthdays to make cards for, I no longer have any excuses to put off writing a new CSI: story. I'm not promising precisely when I'll start posting, but I am already started on research, honest ( Read more... )

Unfortunately Dad would like that 'get up and go' delivered to him in his armchair so he doesn't have to fetch it himself. :)

More seriously it's a little frustrating for my brother and I that Dad is convinced that the operation was a complete failure because it hasn't worked the way he expected it to, in that he doesn't suddenly have lots of stamina, but then he tells us what he's been doing and it's clear to us that, even if he still finds it hard to get things done, his recovery time is much better. He's actually doing a lot more as long as he doesn't think about it, yet when he asks himself if he thinks he's able to do something first he's assuming he can't, so he's defeating his own chances of gaining any stamina by not even trying.

Don't get me wrong, I think he's doing very well, I just wish he did so that he'd be happier in himself.
