I like this. Danny and Steve and how you depict them being together. How that even though they're very different they can usually get each other but how they still sometimes have horrible miscommunications but it works out because they're there for each other.
Also this line made me chuckle “It’s not that difficult, Steve. Visualize the fuckers jumping over a fence and count them.” Grumpy-sleepy Danny should not be as cute as it is, but he so is.
I love Steve telling Danny that he is no good with words - thats part of why I love the show so much - Danny fills in the blanks for Steve.....and even tho he is a man of few words, you always know there is something going on inside his head....even if he can't say it...
I love stories of misunderstanding that become big angst vehicles.....
So I have this big stupid smile on my face that I'm probably gonna have to explain to my husband soon. Oh well, screw it.
I love that even counting sheep, Steve will find a way to blow something up. And everything Danny is screaming about coming to him slowly, dawning on him how much this man means to him.
I also love that you paralleled all the fear we see in Steve about Danny wanting to leave and mirrored it in Danny being afraid that Steve could go back to his old life at any time.
