I vow to make this journal less of a place to whine and more of a positive place.

That said, we're currently arguing which song to dance to. crouchback wnats that Elvis song "I can't help falling in love with you". I'm leaning more towards Savage Garden's "Truly Madly Deeply". It's our current major debate right now ( Read more... )

Uniform regulations don't allow me (or anybody else, for that matter) to wear anything on my choker whites. So no flowers for me.

I guess we really need to make our reservations & such, since it's just under 2 months away. Can you send me contact info for the official hotel?

What I really need are people to stand up during the wedding and say something. I don't know who to approach about that. One of [info]crouchback's friend is saying something and he's hysterical. I don't have anyone like that for me, alas. I suspect it's because of my hearing, I hang back and don'g get involved with conversations so the nifty people just don't meet me. *sigh*. I suspect no one will get up and have a bit of a talk about me and marty, with me being the focus. Oh well.

Contrarian here. A wedding is overwhelmingly about the bride. It's her party, her decisions, her gifts, her dress, etc., etc., etc. Even if that's not how you arranged yours, that's what everyone else is going to think. Perhaps, then, it'll help if you think of it as "during this huge party for me, this one part is mostly for my sweetie."

Have you heard the story about our wedding dance?

Bob decided on a waltz, since our efforts to mutually learn enough swing were unsuccessful. During wedding prep we decided that two minutes was too long and we told my (totally useless) assigned minion to tell the band that we wanted one minute of waltz. The minion proved her total uselessness: the band played the two minute waltz -- twice as fast.

Oops.
