Don't worry, if you want to listen to overpaid radio people say stupid bigoted crap in the guise of being edgy or against political correctness, there are still plenty of other such options. I recommend Michael Savage.
Um, I think you really need to understand the difference between P.C. and racism.
Racism =/ cool...and I'm disappointed that you have not once commented in your postings regarding that point.
I wonder if you would feel differently if you were a black woman...methinks you might. But, you haven't had that experience, so I think you are being unfair here.
I'm sorry...I kind of realized after posting that my reply was a bit snappy. :oP I guess what I want you to take from my reply is that this is an issue that boiling down to "P.C. vs. un-P.C." comes nowhere close to doing justice to the issue. The remark was racist. I don't think that was Imus' intent, but that was the result. Furthermore, he has no "right" to be on CBS radio. Sponsors (who are answerable to the public), pulled their ads from his show, and MSNBC canceled the telecast after consultation with their own employees. When an issue like this strikes the nerve it did, with an entire community, boiling down in such a simple way, I feel, doesn't do it justice.
I agree that racism and P.C. are two totally different beasts, and the two are not necessarily mutually exclusive. I personally to not agree with generalizing in general (ironic?).
To cite one example, I was rather offended at the movie "White men can't jump" that came out oh so long ago. Not enough to really make a stink about it or anything, but still the point remains. I think that there may be a bit of a double-standard here though.
If it were a black DJ calling a group of white people "A bunch of rich white crackers" do you think the same results would have occurred?

Absolutely not. And that is something that should change, as well. Imus was wrong, and each ignorant fool hip-hop "artist" who uses those words is wrong, as well.
As much as I've wanted this thing to just go away like the who is the father of that dead celebrity's kid story, after seeing all the ZOMG SHOCK OUTRAGE in response to your post I cannot help but comment

(And not just because of his thoughts about Don Imus.)
