Just-rereading one of my first fanfics--Flame Creamfire--and....oh, lawwwwls. How did anyone read this? I mean, it was actually popular. The only, only, ooonly reason that could've been because it was one of the first fics written from a Pokemon's point of view on ff.net. And Flame was funny. But good God. I'm so tempted to rewrite this. Especially ( Read more... )

My first fanfic involved me and my videogame brother breaking Fox McCloud's furniture.

My first fanfic was about a Mary Sue mutant salamander named Stacy who joined the Ninja Turtles. Hey, give me a break, I was, like, nine. Fortunately for everyone, that has not survived the intervening years.

I don't know that I've ever made the change into "awesomesauce," but I had at least made the change into "I can re-read this without cringing" by the time I started writing Mega Man fanfic.

my first fanfic (I never wrote it down, but I had the whole story plotted in my head) was a Sailor Moon/Mega Man crossover.

Yeah, I haven't changed much. XD

Actually, now that I think about it....I think Moony originally came from a Pokemon/Monster Rancher crossover before she morphed into an OC. (Not that her story was particularly good. I just remember Tales of Monstria as the first original story I ever took seriously enough to get to the fourth chapter. I don't think I even ever got far enough to introduce the villain properly.)

....I totally forgot about that XDDDD I need to go through my old journals. I think I had a shape-shifting Harry Potter Sue in seventh grade too...

o___o I think... my first fic was awful. It was a co-op between me and an old friend that we never finished and it was Mary Sue as all hell. I'd like to say I've improved since then, yeah. I think Sunrise and its would-be sequel, Sunset, were the fics that changed things for me. It just sucks that they were both mostly erased and I never got around to finishing either. XD;;;
