Had a most pleasurable evning at bf's birthday party discussing various kinks, like chains and piercing, and lots of relationship and sex stuff with his friends. Was a bit strange to have the toughest guy around sobbing on my shoulder because he fell in love with one of my friends, and won't go after her because he lives too far away. Pity,

Let's see... As an absolutely not exclusive overview, I like
* Britpop stuff like Coldplay, Blur, Snow Patrol, Editors, Kaiser Chiefs, and Richard Ashcroft.
* "alternative rock" like Dave Matthews Band, Live, Placebo, Incubus
* other kinds of rock like Marilyn Manson, System of a Down,
* electronical music like Prodigy, Covenant, Nine Inch Nails, And One, ASP
* 80s based music like Depeche Mode, David Bowie, Billy Idol, U2, The Smiths, The Cure
* music styles I can't label like Fiona Apple, Ben Harper, Morphine
* a bit of classic, musicals, a bit of blues, a bit of metal, even a bit of current pop, and I still love my "childhood" music like Die Ärzte and East 17
Hope that satisfies your curiosity a bit. I always find it very hard to pinpoint my own musical taste...
So, what do you listen to?

Which is why I have to write some more now: I listen to gothic music when I go out to dance, though I hardly know any band's (or even any song's) name. I like listening to Buena Vista Social Club and other salsa-related music, mainly in summer. Khaled is very nice then, too.I like The Beatles. I adore Sting and love Heather Nova. I totally forgot to mention soundtracks (Kill Bill, Donnie Darko, The Pianist, Cruel Intentions, Sonnenallee, ...)
And yes, I do listen to radio plays, too. Die Drei ??? and everything from Astrid Lindgren I still own.
Ah well, I could go on about this topic for ages, but I'd rather stop now. Thanks for indulging my curiosity :)
