Eh, I think they're cool but over-rated. I prefer NOT being connected to the outside world most of the time, this way people at work don't expect me to check e-mail and the like when I'm off the clock.
I am and will be off the clock still. I will not be checking my work email from this, just like i dont check it from home now.
I also think it is overated. I took a good hard look at all the other options out there right now. The T-mobile G1 looks like a really close competitor, but for what I want, the Iphone still wins out. The G2 looks promising though.
That's good, I don't think I can escape work once people find out I can check my e-mail using my phone. This is one of the main reasons I don't have an iPhone, Blackberry, or something equivalent.
I don't think iPhones are overrated, you get a lot of good applications with it (free or not). I'm anti-iPhonesque devices right now, but if you're going to get a phone of that genre, I'd definitely get the iPhone.
What's ifart? Check out UrbanSpoon and Pandora. I also love the Weather Channel's app that lets you listen to and view a little 20-second or so detailed forecast. And then Facebook, Google, Youtube, etc... have apps so you don't have to go to those webpages each time you want to use them.
I found this out in my search for an economical calling option. Hopefully there will be an actual skype application by June. If not I'll probably end up with fring.
