To heck with Wit. Its a well known fact that I like J'onn way more than him anyway!

I wanted to be J'onn when I grew up. It was only later when someone callously and coldly pointed out that I wasn't green or Martian that I was forced to pick my #2 choice; Spiderman.

When that, too, was thwarted, I had these mechanical arms grafted to my back.

Seriously though, J'onn kicked ass three ways to Sunday on JLU this past week. It was nice to see him portrayed well.

As to your post though, where's it from?

It is a horrible decision to have to make. The fate of one world or the fate of another. However, on one hand, J'onn knows the burden that awaits his adopted homeworld of Earth, he knows that the evil awaiting him there will only jump beyond its boundaries if left to its own ministrations. Already, the Master Jailer has shown himself to be in league with despots from worlds beyond the Sol System -- Apokolips and Qward included. Such a feat does not boast well for the fates of many worlds.

But still, there is the weight of his decision and its impact on this world. "<>"

To thatr, M'khall has no answer and it shows plainly on his face. <> he says then, bowing his head. Despite the need for you to leave, M'khall knows how invalueable you could be here, aside form your DNA, in the ways of your teachings and otherwise. Yet, that cannot be risked and that regret mixed with sorrow is evident on his face. <> he says then, looking back to you. <>

J'onn bows his head in solemn resignation. There is no win in this situation, and perhaps, there never was. He reminds himself that there shall be words exchanged between the Martian Manhunter and the man who sent him here, the Master Jailer. For despite the access of escape, this was still a trap set for J'onn, and that trap is a guilt he will now be forced to carry with him.

Turning toward M'khall, J'onn simply says, "<>"

And though he doesn't readily show it, beneath J'onn's calm and collected exterior boils a wrath that rivals that which he felt for his brother in the last days of Mars. And that wrath will soon have its target back in his sights.

With a smile, M'khall nods his head before turning to the console that controls this device. <> Perhaps sensing a good deal of your turmoil, M'khall speaks more before working to send you on you way. <>

With what passes for a mental smile, M'khall then reaaches to adjust several things, turning a dial. But that's when the wall erupts in a small explosion, blowing clunks of debris intot he room. Floating through the smoking hole is F'rred, eyes ablaze as he peers straight to you. "You will not leave! Your power will be mine!"

J'onn turns with a start. He had expected his next vision to be that of the Master Jailer, surprised to be seeing J'onn return from the trap to which he had been exiled. But it would seem that the fates were conspiring against the Martian, as F'rred erupts back onto the scene.

J'onn supposed it would only be a matter of time before the faux-Martian had bypassed the illusory distraction, but there was a small part of him that wished it had taken just a bit longer.

"<
>" J'onn telecasts, his voice booming inside the mind of F'rred. "<>" Yes, J'onn is quite angry now. "<>"

At this, J'onn opens his mind full-tilt. Giving free reign to each of his alter-egos, each of his personalities, he releases their spectral essences to "walk" into F'rred's mind. Free to act on their own behalf, the personalities -- including diplomats, the homeless, children, and even creatures that have long been extinct -- begin their assault on F'rred -- some with spectral fists, others with verbal tactics, and still others with psionic assaults.

Just like that, F'rred is stopped in his tracked, stunned. It's not the breath of minds he is exposed to, for as your culture was he is bound to al the peoples of this world. However, what this planet has long lacked is something you have not only some to understand but have come to embrace. Humanity.

Equally stunned is M'khall, not a target of your outburst but still a witness. <> That is more what he would wish of his people. Not the swift justice or the scope of what J'onn is capable of. Rather it's the gesture, the dsire to educate the enemy rather than destroy him. <> he 'speaks' then with certainy.

Yet that's when he also (now safely) activates the device. Better now than later when you might be stopped. And thus in a flash and a rendering of your molecules you will be shunted back to Earth.

(ooc: not sure if you wanted to continue this on earth as segue into the JLA scene...so I'm going to keep going until you tell me we're at a stopping point)

J'onn feels the rush of energy through his self, his very being rendered into nothing more than signal and noise. Then, when at last he blinks again, his eyes open once more on his adopted home.

His heart weighs heavy with the sadness of what he left behind. Truly, there would have been much to learn from the people of the Unnamed Planet. They were so close to his own people, to the life he had long mourned. But there was no choice but to succumb to the fate that awaited him and return here to Earth.

"DRAPER!" the Martian exclaims. His face is wrought with anger. "Our bargain has been completed, and I have returned to face you once again. Come forth and witness my wrath."

OOC: I went ahead and cut the scene with my last post. If you want to squeeze in anything between this scene and the Watchtower stuff, we can still do that.
