Space Wasters sounds like it could take a claustrophobic, characters have nothing to do but philosophise and pick at another, stagey kind of turn.

That's a really good idea the more I think about it. A lot of my favorite movies or shows have had that sort of 'GNDN' quality about them, but somehow it's used to great effect. Although at the moment I can't think of an example really. I suppose most of the Alien oeuvre could be considered that way.
Then again I've also been really wishing I was a cartoonist. Achewood has been incredibly inspiring lately.

I'm thinking of Game by Barthelme, although unspoken suspicions and resentments aren't really the thing for a play.
Never read Achewood before. Superb. Wish I could draw.
